Coming from the depths of the earth, the water at Lavey reaches 65°C at its source after almost 8,000 years. Pure and rich in minerals, it feeds the pools and offers relaxation and benefits for the body, particularly for the joints and skin.
In 1831, a fisherman discovered this hot spring on the banks of the Rhône by chance. Its existence was confirmed by a geologist, revealing a natural treasure that is now exploited at the Les Bains de Lavey for its exceptional virtues. An unexpected historical discovery.

Les Bains de Lavey are located in the Chablais region of western Switzerland, close to Martigny and Monthey, within easy reach of Lausanne and Geneva by motorway or public transport (train and bus).
The pools, fed by Lavey’s natural thermal water, are kept at between 33°C and 36°C all year round, perfect for relaxing. Temperatures may vary slightly depending on weather conditions, such as wind or heavy rain.
Thermal baths relieve joint pain, improve circulation, reduce stress and promote muscle relaxation thanks to the mineral-rich thermal water.
Access is not recommended to people with a history of cardiovascular disease or to pregnant women without prior medical advice. The baths are only open to children aged 4 and over (proof of age required). Children under the age of 16 must be accompanied by an adult (18 years or older).
Children are admitted from the age of 4 (proof required) and must be accompanied by an adult to access the thermal baths.
We restrict access to young children because many customers come to the Spa to relax, which is not necessarily compatible with the presence of young children. What’s more, the depth of the pools and the infrastructure do not allow us to cater for them in optimum safety conditions.
You can book your access online directly on our website or buy your tickets on site at the Bains de Lavey reception.
Reservations are not compulsory for access to the Baths. However, it is strongly recommended during busy periods such as weekends, public holidays and special events. Without a reservation, and if maximum capacity is reached, you may have to wait a little before we can welcome you.
